Approved Consultants in EMDR

An EMDR Consultant is an approved EMDR Practitioner with additional training and experience who is able to undertake the tasks of consultation or supervision of EMDR practitioners. EMDR Europe Accredited Consultants have reached at least the following standards:

  • is licensed, certified or registered as a mental health professional, with at least two years of experience in the field
  • is an approved EMDR Practitioner with at least two years experience, and who has completed an EMDR Europe Association (EMDREA) approved training programme and additional training
  • has conducted at least 300 sessions with no less than 75 clients in which EMDR is used
  • has received at least 10 hours of supervision of their consultation skills
